The gnathion is the lowest point of the midline of the lower jaw; gnathology is the dental study of the process of chewing; the adjectives gnathal and (less commonly) gnathic refer to the jaw. In biology, Gnathostoma (Greek stoma, mouth) is a genus of parasitic nematodes.
