A tooth or teeth.

Odontology is the scientific study of the structure and diseases of teeth; an odontogenic tumour is one composed of dental tissue; odontalgia (Greek algos, pain) is the technical term for toothache; an odontoblast (Greek blastos, germ, sprout) is a cell in the pulp of a tooth that produces dentine; the odontoid, or odontoid process, is a tooth-like projection from the second cervical vertebra on which the first can pivot.
