anthrop(o)-

Human, or of a human being.

Greek anthrōpos, human being

Anthropology is the study of human beings; to be anthropocentric is to regard humankind as the central or most important element of existence; an anthropoid is an animal resembling a human being in form, such as an anthropoid ape; anthropomorphism (Greek morphē, form) is the attribution of human behaviour or characteristics to a god, animal, or object. Something anthropogenic results from human activity (usually in reference to pollution or environmental degradation); anthropometry is the scientific study of the measurements and proportions of the human body.
