Greek enteron, intestine.

Enteritis is inflammation of the intestine; an enteropathy (Greek patheia, suffering, feeling) is a disease of it; an enterovirus is one of a group that occur in the gastrointestinal tract; an enterotoxin is a toxin affecting the intestines, such as those causing food poisoning or cholera; enterobiasis is an infection of the intestines, especially of children, caused by a threadworm; the adjective relating to the intestines is enteric (enteric fever is an old name for typhoid fever).
