Old age or old people.

Greek gerōn, old man; gēras, old age.

The medical study of ageing and old age is gerontology; gerontocracy is rule by old people or a country or group so ruled; the adjective gerontic relates to old age, elderly people or senescence, while geriatric (Greek iatros, doctor) refers to the medical care of old people, with geriatrics for the branch of medicine concerned; gerodontics (Greek odont‑, tooth), is the special study of the dental problems of ageing or elderly people.
