Superlative adjectives and adverbs.

Old English ‑mest.

Such superlatives are formed from prepositions, adjectives, and comparatives that indicate some relative position, either literal or figurative: easternmost, foremost, hindmost, innermost, topmost, utmost (Old English ūt, out).
