The nose.

Greek rhis, rhin‑, nose.

Rhinitis is inflammation of the mucous membrane of the nose, caused by a virus infection or an allergic reaction; a rhinovirus is a member of a group of small RNA viruses, including those that cause some forms of the common cold; rhinoplasty is plastic surgery performed on the nose. The name of the rhinoceros derives from the same source, plus Greek keras, horn.
