Dung or excrement.
Greek skōr, skat‑, dung.
Scatology (adjective scatological) can refer to a scientific study of dung to determine, for example, an organism's diet, but more frequently is an interest in or obsession with excrement and excretion; an insect or other animal that is a scatophage (Greek phagein, eat) feeds on dung; scatomancy (Greek manteia, divination) is divination based on the examination of faeces.
